Sweet Potato Plant

I had a sweet potato that started sprouting.   I decided to put it in water and take a chance at growing a vine.  I placed it in water 3 weeks ago.  Here is my little plant today.   Now what do I do?   Do you plant it in the ground?  I can't believe it is still alive.   What would you do with it?
